I bought a tri-color (red/yellow/green) SERIES 300 ALPHA LED SIGN made by Adaptive Micro Systems, Inc. for approximately $175 USD and mounted it at the office from the ceiling.

This directory contains a Perl module that I wrote for communicating with and controlling the scrolling LED billboard signs. I also wrote a quick web interface using CGI.pm and my Perl module to allow it to be controlled by anyone at the office through their web browser.

Another cow-orker has written a WAP interface to allow messages to be sent to the sign from any WAP-enabled cell phone. We also have a separate interface to an IRC bot that notifies an IRC channel whenever a new line of text has been submitted to the sign.
